A total of four hundred eighteen (418) lucky candidates are invited to apply by the Saskatchewan province from their recent draw held last March 24, 2021. These numbers are both for Express Entry which is 183 of the invited and Occupation In-Demand categories with 235 on the latter.
Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) Expression of Interest system (EOI) was updated with a minimum score of 70 points. If too many candidates have the same score, the province reserves the right to check on additional criteria to prioritize the selection of candidates such as relatives, past work experience, education and so on. Individuals who are already in the pool with a score of fewer than 69 points might need to wait a little more for the next draw. A few of the eligible occupations are social workers, educational counsellors, medical laboratory technicians, etc.
Express Entry candidates qualified in the nomination are receiving additional 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). People in the Occupation In-Demand sub-category do not have an employment offer yet in the province but are given a score of 100 based on the SINP’s International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid.
What is the next step now? Saskatchewan will notify the nominees through email and they will be required to submit a federal application for Canadian permanent residency wherein their employment background and educational credentials are good prospects for the province’s job demands. Candidates with the invitation to apply (ITA) edge should submit within the designated time limit which is about six months to their appropriate application centre. PNP applications are usually processed in more or less 18 months.
